Marilyn Gain Obituary
GAIN, Marilyn Joyce (née Irvine) of Ottawa, and formerly of Moncton, passed away peacefully at the Élisabeth Bruyère Hospital on Thursday, November 9, 2017 at the age of 74. Loving wife (for 49 years) to Alvin Gain. Loving mother of Cheryl. Devoted Grammie of Spencer and Madeline Gadoury. She will be sadly missed by her many dear friends and her step-family; Jeff McDonald and his sons. She is also survived by 9 cousins and many nieces and nephews. Marilyn lived life to the fullest, and left an imprint on friends she made throughout her life. She will always be remembered; successful career woman, incomparable wife, mother, grandmother and friend. CELEBRATION OF LIFE: at the Rothwell United Church, 42 Sumac Street, Ottawa, ON, Friday, November 24, 2017 from 2-4pm. Interment planned for Summer, 2018. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Élisabeth Bruyère Hospital would be appreciated.

Marilyn and I worked together for years and she was a wonderful lady who did everything with her whole heart; she lit up a room and left everyone she met with a fondness for her smile and spirit. Alvin and family, you have my sincerest sympathy for your loss; may lovely memories give you strength going forward.

I was so sad to learn of Marilyn's passing last month. :(

Alvin and family, please accept our sympathy for the loss of a devoted wife and loving mother and grandmother. I worked with Marilyn for many years and am sorry to hear of your great loss. We are in Florida and left Ottawa in October and just read a note on Facebook paying tribute to her. She was such a positive person I know you will have wonderful memories to cherish.

I am so sorry to hear of Marilyn's passing .She was a wonderful lady , full of life and laughter. She would come in our store to give us a hug almost every day. She will be missed, God Bless all the family in this sad time .

Alvin and family, I am so sorry for your loss. Marilyn always had a smile and great stories to share with everyone as she travelled the mall. We will miss her and her regular visits.
