Marilyn Theresa Leblanc

A retired federal employee for the Port of Embarkation in New Orleans during World War II and a resident of Paincourtville, she died Friday, May 15, 2009. She was 81 and a native of New Orleans. Visiting at Ourso Funeral Home, Donaldsonville, on Sunday, May 17, from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. Visiting resumes at the funeral home on Monday, May 18, from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. Religious service at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church, Paincourtville, on Monday at 11 a.m., conducted by the Rev. Jason Labbé. Entombment in the church mausoleum. Survived by three daughters, Diane LeBlanc and husband Tracy, of Paincourtville, Deborah LeBlanc, of Baton Rouge, and Marilyn T. LeBlanc-Judy and husband Tom, of Denver; a son, Chris J. LeBlanc and wife Jill, of Leavenworth, Kan.; a sister, Betty Dugas, of Donaldsonville; a brother, Robert P. LeBlanc, of Klotzville; nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her parents, Paul R. and Bessie Carbo LeBlanc; and husband, Joseph F. LeBlanc. She was executive secretary of the local draft board in Assumption Parish and an administrative assistant for the Social Security Administration in Plaquemine. She was a member of the St. Elizabeth Ladies Altar Society and St. Elizabeth School Mothers Club. She was also a member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary and AARP.
