Marilyn Ann Selivon (née Sobek)

Marilyn Ann Selivon, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on July 22, 2025, at the age of 78. Born and raised in Chicago, Marilyn carried the spirit of the city-vibrant, resilient, and full of heart-throughout her life. She was the cherished wife of Terry Selivon, devoted mother of Alison (Glenn) Kruchten, and adoring grandmother to her only grandchild, Lilly Ann, who brought her boundless joy.

Marilyn spent much of her career at Bankers Life and Casualty. After retiring, she and Terry settled in Custer Park, IL, where she spent the last 25 years of her life embracing the tranquility of the countryside. A passionate lover of music, Marilyn's soul sang through her guitar and keyboard, filling her home and the lives of those around her with melody and love.

Born to Cecilia and Frank Sobek, preceded in death by her brother Francis , shaped her strength with those she loved.

No formal services will be held at this time, but Terry and Alison are planning a celebration of Marilyn's life in the coming weeks. Those interested in attending are warmly invited to reach out to the family for details. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations in Marilyn's memory to the American Diabetes Association (diabetes.org) to support research and care for those living with diabetes.

Marilyn's laughter, music, and love will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
