Marilyn Serber Obituary
Mrs. Serber passed away Wednesday, May 22, 2019 at Longmeadow Healthcare Center in Justin, Texas. She was born March 10, 1944 in Roswell, NM to Helen and Julian Kessel.
Marilyn was a long-time member of Congregation Beth El. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald Serber. She is survived by her loving family including: daughter, Julie Sacks (Steve) of Chicago; and son, Jeff Serber (Cara) of Southlake. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Ania and Reid Sacks, and Libby and Allie Serber.
There will be a reception immediately following the graveside service at Congregation Beth El. If desired, memorials may be made to The Hospice of East Texas Foundation, 4111 University Blvd., Tyler, TX 75702, Children's Cancer Fund, 4201 Spring Valley Rd., Suite 370, Dallas, TX 75244, or Congregation Beth El, 1010 Charleston Dr., Tyler, TX 75703.

I got to know Marilyn, when her late husband Ron, my friend and a fellow member of the Tyler Lions Club, was under Hospice Care and when he passed away. In his memory,she gave me,one of his prized possessions,a small stuffed bear,in a miniature rocking chair, which I still have in my home office, too this day. She was a very nice lady and it was a pleasure to know her!
