Mario Martinello died at 81 on August 25, 2021 in Austin, Texas. He is survived by his wife of 39 years Susan Cardos Martinello. Most recently from Gulf Shores, Alabama, he and his wife lived in Madison, Alabama, Hollis, New Hampshire, and Billerica, Massachusetts. Born in Latisana, Italy, he emigrated to Boston, Massachusetts with his family at the age of fifteen. He went on to earn B.S. and M.S. degrees in electrical engineering from Northeastern University. In his career as a sales director for computer companies, he traveled extensively in Latin America. He is survived by his children Stephen (Olga Mogilyansky) Martinello, Alex (Sanjana Rao) Martinello, and Lea (Paolo Valerio) Martinello Sabatini; his grandchildren Katerina and Leonid Martinello; his sister Lidia Martinello Francescon; and his brother Valentino Martinello. He is pre-deceased by his parents Sante Martinello and Mafalda Buffon. He loved his family, was proud to be a Furlan from the province of Friuli-Venezia Giulia in Italy, spoke five languages, and was passionate about opera and symphonic music.
