We just learned of Marion's death today. We are remembering all of you in our prayers as you depend on our Heavenly Father to comfort you. Marion and Anne are two of our favorite people. He will be missed greatly but heaven is a better place because he is there.

We sat in the same pew at Mount Pleasant Baptist Church (along with Ruth Oreabough) for a long time at the early service. He will be greatly missed. We look forward to that reunion in heaven with our heavenly Father where we will meet again some day.

For most of my life I have looked forward to the annual visits of Uncle Marion and Aunt Ann, who were both so faithful to Grandpa and Grandma. I know that the small town of Hunter, Okla. will miss seeing him also. Uncle Marion, your passing leaves a hole in my heart, but I take comfort in knowing I will see you again in heaven.

To the family of Marion R. Horner,
Marion will be missed by each one of us. He was my contact with the past history of the Horner family. My brother Marion and I talked many times over the past years. He was a good man, a good brother and a good son to his parents. He loved and cared for his wife, children and grandchildren. He never forgot the values of hard work and kindness to other people. He is now in the care of his Savior, Jesus Christ. I loved Marion and still love memories of him.

The Horner Family has my deepest sympathy. The Bible gives us encouragement at @ 2 Corinthians 1:3&4 , "Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of tender mercies and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort those in any sort of tribulation through the comfort with which we ourselves are being comforted by God." Faith in Jehovah God's promises can bring much needed comfort.

"All mankind is of one author, and is one volume; when one man dies, one chapter is not torn out of the book, but translated into a better language; and every chapter must be so translated..."
As the poet John Donne points out to us, my Uncle Marion has been translated into a better language, but remains an important chapter in God's book. He remains an important chapter in my life as well. And the rich memories I carry with me will allow me to read that chapter again and again.
