Marjorie Ann Barnes
December 19, 1932 – May 21, 2017.

Marjorie was born in Wilbur, WA, and moved to Maple Valley WA as a young lady with her family. She lived most of her life in Maple Valley, graduating from Tahoma High School in 1950. She was married to Gerald Barnes in 1952 and remained so for 61 years until his death in Sept. 2013. She was a wonderful mother of three sons Dean Barnes, Bruce Barnes (Deborah), and Donald Barnes (Tammy). Grandmother to William Hill, Christine Logan, Stacey Welsh, Charles Borland, Grace Barnes, Allison Barnes, and Emma Barnes. Great Grandmother to Dakota Logan, Chyanne Logan, and Sierra Toles.

She was a 50 year member of The Order of the Eastern Star Laurel Chapter #47 in Black Diamond, WA. Joining on June 28, 1955. She served as Worthy Matron in 1966-1967. She was chapter Secretary from 1976 to 2012, and served as Grand Representative of Nebraska from 2002-2004. Her service to this organization will be greatly missed. She was also a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, joining only a few short years ago in Nov. 2015.

Marjorie passed peacefully at home May 21, 2017 surrounded by her loving family. Services will be held in her memory Sunday June 4th, 2017 at Greenwood Memorial Park in Renton, WA with viewing beginning at 10am and service to starting at 1pm. Please join the family for a continued time of sharing and refreshments after the service.

Margie was a wonderful friend. We worked together in Rainbow and served together on Eastern Star projects. After a while, I became the tax consultant for her and Jerry. She loved her great-granddaughters unconditionally and was there for them until the end. Margie will live on in our memories.
