Marjorie Silverman Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on May 23, 2022.
Marjorie Lynne Silverman passed away peacefully in her sleep on May 14, 2022 in Royal Palm Beach, Florida at the age of 69.
Marjorie was born in New York City to Lucille and Milton Silverman on June 20, 1952 and was lovingly raised in Teaneck, NJ. Upon graduation from Teaneck High School, she moved to Manhattan to attend Pace University from which she graduated.

Marjorie enjoyed a decades long career as an esteemed court stenographer in New York City. She raised four wonderful children in New York and New Jersey and moved with her family to Wellington Florida in 2003.
Marjorie was a loved and respected member of her community and synagogue in Florida and enjoyed her retirement filled with many hobbies including cooking, baking, traveling, genealogy, jewelry making, knitting, jazz music, gardening, among many other interests. Let me not forget to mention that Marjorie was a diehard New York Yankee fan from childhood and watched almost every Yankee game ever shown on television.

Marjorie is preceded in death by her parents Lucille and Milton and her brother Neal. She is survived by her four children, Jennifer Hall, Jamie Butler, Anna Savitsky and Sarah Acevedo; her two grandchildren Jordyn and Lauren and her sister Leslie. Marjorie is remembered by relatives and countless friends and colleagues and will be sorely missed and adored always.

The meaning of the name Marjorie in Hebrew is: child of light, pearl, jewel. Such was Marjorie.

Margie was in my 5th and sixth grade class at Whittier elementary school after I had transitioned from Catholic school. It was like going from black and white tv to color and Margie was in the front of the class . She was a human fizzie bursting with exuberance, she couldn“t control her outbursts of enthusiasm. Years later when we became friends on Facebook she was the same . Blessed that she passed in her sleep what a dear person she was . She obviously had the same impact on so many friends and peers
