AHERN, Mark X. Of Marshfield, passed away October 21, 2012. Beloved husband of Barbara (Benedini) Ahern of Marshfield. Loving father of Brian Paul Ahern and his wife Ondine of Sandwich, Christianne Hendriksen and her husband Mark of Pembroke. Brother of Taylor and Dana Ahern both of Quincy, and the late Lance CPL Brian P. Ahern USMC. Cherished grandfather of Kelly, Sydney and Darcy Ahern, Michael, Jillian and Jenna Hendriksen. Mark grew up in Quincy before moving to Marshfield where he has lived for the past 19 years. He was a graduate of Archbishop Williams High School class of 1963, Northeastern University & Suffolk University. Mark was a proud USMC Vietnam Veteran, as were his brothers. He was a member of the Caddy Detachment League in Quincy, Toys for Tots with Marine Corps League and Semper Fidelis Society. Mark was very active at his parish St. Christine's in Marshfield. He worked for Morgan Stanley Smith & Barney in Norwell as a Senior Vice President and has been in the financial business helping people since 1971. He was a man who truly enjoyed his work and spending time with his family. He will be sadly missed by all who had the pleasure to have known him. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Thursday 4-8 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY. Funeral Mass in St. Christine's Church 1295 Main Street (Rt 3A) Marshfield, Friday at 10 AM. Burial with full Military Honors in Couch Cemetery, Marshfield. Mark was a dear friend as well as a trusted financial advisor who was the epitome of graciousness, respectfulness, sincerity and deep caring for others.
