Mark Eugene Bolin, 57, of Touchet, Washington and formerly of La Grande, died Friday, October 12, 2012 at a hospital in Walla Walla of cancer. A Celebration of Life will be held Friday, October 19, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. at Loveland Funeral Chapel in La Grande. Interment will be at Cove Cemetery and a reception will follow at The Cove Sportsman Club. Mark was born November 29, 1954 to Gene and Shirley Bolin. He graduated from La Grande High School in 1973 and attended the University of Oregon and Eastern Oregon College. He married Cheryl "Charlie" Davis. Mark was a Facility Operator with Conoco Phillips on the North Slope, Alaska. He gave 25 years of dedicated service and received numerous awards for his work. He was also a member in several organizations including the American Motorcycle Association, HOG Motorcycle Group, National Rifle Association and the Eagles. Mark loved spending time with his family. He also enjoyed motorcycles, golfing and traveling. He was a big fan of supercross and motorcross. Mark is survived by his wife Charlie of Touchet, WA; his sons Dallas Bolin and Tyler Bolin of Touchet, WA; Harley Bolin and Jacob Bolin of Portland, OR; and his daughter and her husband Emma and Cade Bowen of Meridian, ID; his parents Gene and Shirley Bolin of La Grande; his sister and her husband Vel Donna and Chris Blanton of Canby, OR; 2 grandchildren; 14 nieces and nephews and numerous aunts and uncles.
