Mark Kleeman Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Sep. 14, 2010.
Mark 'Flash' Kleeman, 54, beloved husband, dad, son and brother, passed away on Sunday, September 12, 2010, at University Hospital in Cincinnati, Ohio, after a long, hard fought battle with liver disease. Having just received a liver transplant, his spirit was willing, but his heart was too weak and the good Lord called him home.
Born in Tell City, Ind., on June 29, 1956, he was a 1974 graduate of Tell City High School. He was united in marriage on May 9, 1981, to Angie Doogs, who survives. He was owner of Flash's Suzuki and Kleeman Trucking, Excavating and Construction Carrier Corp., all in Troy and was a member of St. Pius Catholic Church. Flash enjoyed motorcycle riding, boating and spending time with family and friends.
He is survived, and will be sadly missed by his wife, Angie (Doogs) Kleeman; son, Brandon Kleeman; daughter, Angel Kleeman; parents, Franics (Spud) and Helen (Masterson) Kleeman, brothers, Rocky Kleeman and wife, Sheila, Bret Kleeman and wife, Jodie, all of Troy, Ind.; sisters, Christine Zimmerman of Lamar, Ind., and Leah Kleeman of Huntingburg, Ind.; mother and father-in-law, Chester and Anna Doogs of Tell City, sister-in-law, Julie Dauby and husband, Gerald of Tell City, Ind.; brothers-in-law, Steve Doogs and wife, Roxy of Elizabethtown, Ky., Denny and Scott Doogs, of Tell City, Ind.; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and friends.
Preceding him in death are infant daughter, Jade; a brother, Rodney; grandparents, Elmer and Celeste Masterson and Frank and Eleanor Kleeman.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m. on Friday at St. Pius Catholic Church in Troy. Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery in Tell City. Visitation will be Thursday from 2 to 8 p.m. and Friday from 9 to 10:15 a.m. at Zoercher-Gillick Funeral Home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the family.
Go in peace Mark. Know that we all loved you very much and will cherish all of our memories until we meet again. God be with you

Dear Aunt Helen Jean, Uncle Spud and family, my thoughts and prayers are with you in your time of sorrow. I had not seen Mark in a few years but have many found memories of him and all the cousins growing up and hanging at the cabin. I remember Mark as a kind and gentle soul. Angie, Brandon, Angel and family. Our heart and prayers goes out to all of you in your time of loss. God will be with you in your time of grief. To the best neighbor a person can have, Sheila and I are deeply sorry. He may not have always been the most talkative but the man was always sincere. Sheila wants to especially send out her sympathy to the whole family, since they grew up together in church and Troy. Sheila's heart also goes out to Christine, being that she also lost a brother, and know the heartache. With Love Sheila and Darryl Knepper

My heart breaks. First the five years of illness; then trying to get listed for transplant; then the joy of getting listed; fear of WHEN the liver would come; joy that it came, then such a sad day. You all have been brave and strong and I admire you!
