Gloria Jean Amen

Gloria Jean Amen June 14, 1939 – August 29, 2018 Gloria Jean Amen (nee Amicone), 79, passed away peacefully on August 29, 2018. Born and raised in the 49th Street section of Philadelphia, PA. It was in Overbrook as a hair stylist where Gloria met her late husband Vincent "Chibby" Amen and raised her family. She was an active member of Saint Callistus' Parish. Loved painting, doing ceramics, arts & crafts and flowers but her greatest job was being a mother to her four children. Gloria preceded in death by her husband, of 44 years, Chibby, her sister, Rosemarie Jarjisian and brother, Joseph Amicone. She is survived by her four children, Vincent (Jamie), Arleen, Stephen, John (Gretchen) and her loving grandchildren – Camryn, Chloe, Lola, and Emilia. She is also survived by sister, Diana Colleluori and many nieces and nephews. Gloria was a devoted wife and mother and will be missed dearly by her family and friends. Relatives and friends are invited to Gloria's visitation on Tuesday, September 4, 2018, 6:00 PM – 9:00 pm & Wednesday, September 5, 2018, 9:00 AM – 10:00 AM, in the Main Chapel at D'Anjolell Funeral Home, 2811 West Chester Pike, Broomall, PA. The Mass of Catholic Burial will be celebrated Wednesday, September 5, 2018 at Saint Donato's Church, 65th & Callowhill Streets, Philadelphia.
