Marsha Watts Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers from Mar. 17 to Mar. 20, 2024.
Richmond - Marsha Anne Watts (Bonitatibus), a faithful servant of the Lord, was called to her eternal home on March 13, 2024, in Richmond, Texas, at the age of 73. Born on May 20, 1950, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Marsha's life was a testament to the virtues of humility, compassion, and unwavering faith.

Her gentle spirit and boundless generosity were a beacon of light to all who knew her. Marsha walked the earth with a heart full of gratitude, seeing the face of God in every aspect of His creation. She was a living example of the Scripture, "Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the earth" (Matthew 5:5).

She is lovingly remembered by her son, Matt Tielkemeijer, and daughter-in-law, Chele Summers; her mother, Josephine Bonitatibus; her brother, Stephen Bonitatibus, and sister-in-law, Lisa; her sister, JoEllen Portolese; her sister, Sharon Dillon, and brother-in-law, John; her dearest companion in faith, Betty McAfee; and a host of family and friends who were touched by her gentle soul.

Marsha now rejoins her beloved husband, John Watts; her father, Albert Bonitatibus; her brother, Albert John Bonitatibus; and her brother-in-law, Tony Portolese, in the Kingdom of Heaven.

As a devout member of Grace Community Bible Church, Marsha found great joy and fellowship in Christ. She had an abiding love for God's creatures, finding peace in birding and expressing her creativity through quilting, sewing, and puzzles. Her travels were pilgrimages, embracing the beauty and diversity of God's world.

Marsha's commitment to service was unwavering, as she poured her love into volunteering, nurturing the youth of her church, and enriching the spiritual fabric of her community through Bible study and prayer.

A Celebration of Life service will be held in honor of Marsha on April 20, 2024, at 1:00 PM at Grace Community Bible Church in Richmond, Texas. We gather not to mourn but to give thanks for the gift of her life, a life that continues to inspire us to live with kindness, humility, and love.

"Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God" (Matthew 5:8). Marsha's legacy will forever be cherished in the hearts of those who were graced by her presence. Her spirit lives on, a guiding light to the path of righteousness and everlasting peace.

As a friend growing up in Mt Airy, I remember sleep over´s at her house with a gaggle of girls. Those were some of the best times.
