Martin Barnes Obituary
Marty was born in Geneva, NY on March 27th, 1962, the son of George Barnes and the late Beverley Barnes. He graduated from Penn Yan Academy in June of 1980 and from S.U.N.Y Fredonia in 1984. Marty worked in finance and sales at Citibank and Concentrix and at Oak Hill Country Club, but his faith was the guiding light in his life. He was a devout member of Blessed Sacrament Church for over thirty years. He enjoyed golf, fishing with his son, Buffalo Bills games, and online chess.
Marty is survived by his children: Dr. Eliza Jane Barnes (Jon So) and Patrick James Barnes; his former wife, Lisa Scott Barnes; his father, George M. Barnes; his siblings, Mary (Tom Blind), Amy (Neal Braman), Patty (Billy Maher), Joan (Mark Perry), Paul (Jodie) Barnes, Sharon (Doug Reagan) ,Lolly (Glenn Green), Matthew Barnes, and Megan (Clint Condron); as well as many nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, November 2nd, 2024 at 10 a.m. at Blessed Sacrament Church, at 534 Oxford Street in Rochester, N.Y. Memories of Marty may be shared at newcomerrochester.com. and legacy.com.

My condolences to the Barnes family. I knew Marty, through Joan and Patty Barnes. Hung out at their big blue house on Clinton St. when in 7th and 8th grade. So sorry for your loss.
