Marvella "Dobbin" Kee passed away peacefully at her home in Jefferson, Texas on January 16, 2025. She was born to Lizzie and Ephram Ervin Blakley on September 4, 1932, in the family's home in Electra, Texas.

Dobbin, as Marvella was affectionately known to many of her friends and family, attended school in Electra, Texas. She was the last surviving sibling of a large and close-knit family.

Marvella was preceded in death by three sisters, Mattie, Laura, Peggy, and four brothers Troy, Foy "Spider", Archie, and Jearl "JD". The siblings remained close through the years and enjoyed playing "Moon" and having fellowship together.

For Marvella, life was centered around family. She raised four daughters that blessed her with seven grandchildren, two step-grandchildren, five great grandchildren, five step-great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.

One of the biggest joys in her life was having her "bunch" around and cooking for them. From scratch made pies and cakes, to homemade dishes of all kinds. Marvella was known for her cooking. All of her kids and their friends could always count on enjoying an unforgettable meal at Granny's house and no one went home hungry.

Marvella is survived by daughters, Deborah, Lisa and husband Clinton, Tammy and husband Neil and Brenda, as well as grandchildren Nisey and husband Ryan, Jeff and wife Joann, CJ and wife Kasey, Robby, Mason and fiance Katherine, Stephanie, John and fiance Sierra.
