Marvin Henry Appel May 13, 1936 - February 5, 2014 Passed away after a courageous battle with Cancer. Predeceased by parents Carl and Mildred, sisters Phyllis (Matt) and Sylvia. Marv will be remembered for his gentle nature by sister Yvonne, life-long friend and partner Edda, many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. Born and raised in Vancouver/Burnaby, he chose carpentary and all forms of finishing as his trade. Marv enjoyed golf, bowling, time at the casino, and poker nights with his buddies. A heartfelt thanks to the staff at St. Michael's Hospice for the excellent care given to Marv. A celebration of life will be held Thursday, February 20, 2014, at 1:00 pm at Northview Golf Country Club, 6857-168 Street Surrey, BC. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the BC Cancer Foundation.

Those we love don't go away,

They walk beside us everyday.

Unseen, unheard, but always near,

Still loved, still missed, and very dear.
