Marvin Earl Miller BELFAST, Va. Marvin Earl Miller, 93, went to be with the Lord Saturday, Nov. 28, 2009, following injury received in an ATV accident on his farm. Born on Oct. 11, 1916, in Russell County, he was the son of the late Shade and Maudie Powers Miller. He resided in Russell County where he farmed his entire life. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife, Anna Howard Miller; brothers, George Miller, Silas Miller, Beecher Miller and Guy Miller; sisters, Rosa Lee Berry, Magnora Hubbard, Florence Hess and Pearl Hubbard. Mr. Miller was a member of Hansonville Baptist Church. He loved talking about the Lord, telling stories, farming and hunting with his dogs. He was a veteran of World War II. Survivors include three brothers, Easley Miller and Toy Cecil Miller, both of Honaker, Va., and Hassell Miller of Newport, Va.; a special niece, Shirley Fuller and husband Larry of Rosedale, Va.; special friends, Carl Stevens and wife Clara; and numerous nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Cecil Miller, Earl Miller, Gerald Miller, Larry Fuller, Harold Miller, Jeff Miller, C.B. Yates and Glenn Harris. Honorary pallbearer will be Carl Stevens. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 1, at Owens Funeral Service Chapel with Rev. Jack Lyons and Rev. Edward Tiller officiating. Interment will follow at Russell Memorial Cemetery in Lebanon. The family will receive friends on Monday from 6 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home. Owens Funeral Service, Lebanon, is in charge of arrangements.
