Mary Ann Mateo Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Apr. 8, 2017.
Mary Ann Ramirez Mateo loving wife, devoted Mother, daughter and friend, passed away on
Friday, April 7, 2017, after a courageous battle with cancer.

Mary Ann was born to Efigenia Garcia and Prudencio Ramirez on September 2, 1971, in Manila
Philippines. She married her college sweetheart, Joseph Mateo on October 18, 1997.

Mary Ann graduated from the University of Santo Tomas in Fine Arts in 1991.
She worked for 10 years at Disney Art Classics and Disney Interactive where she made many life
long friends.

Joe and Mary Ann have two beautiful daughters, Joey Ann, 18 and Mina, 13. Mary Ann was an
amazing mother who worked hard to provide them every opportunity in school, sports, music
and art. She loved gardening, and it became a source of therapy for her during the challenging
chemo treatments. Her beautiful succulent garden is a testament to that. She enjoyed cooking,
collecting and traveling with her family experiencing all that life had to offer.

Mary Ann was an incredible woman whose courage, grace and strength inspired everyone who
knew her.

Mary Ann is survived by her husband Joseph, her daughters, Joey Ann and Mina, and her loyal
dog, Coco. Her family and many friends will dearly miss her.
She was preceded in death by her Mother, Efigenia and her Father Prudencio.
