Mary Ann Richter Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Mar. 11, 2024.
Mary Ann Richter (nee Krysco)

Mary Ann Richter, age 92, was quietly reunited with her loving husband, Richter Joseph Richter on February 21, 2024. An incredibly beautiful lady with unconditional love and generosity to her family, Mom had a great fondness for creative freedom, nature, sunshine, mysteries and Jimmy Buffet music.

Mary Ann Krysco married Richard Joseph Richter in 1952 and had seven children. They raised their family in Hales Corners and Delafield and then settled in Stone Bank for nearly four decades. They shared 69 years of marriage, renewing their vows on their 50th wedding anniversary.

Mary Ann is survived by her children Richard, Robert, Therese (Standridge), John, Mary (David DeArmey), Jayne (Joseph Siecinski), and David (Zena). Her sister Geraldine "Geri" Fritz (Krysco), brother-in laws Alphonse, Jack and sister-in-law Nancy. She is also survived by her 11 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren along with many nieces and nephews who fondly knew her as Aunt Kris.

She is preceded in death by her adoring husband Richard, her parents Walter and Ann Krysco and her granddaughters Geri Ann & Josephine.

Mary Ann was a unique individual with her own style who was not afraid to be herself. She had an artistic spirit and created many beautiful works of art, painting, ceramics, macramé, loom and basket weaving, dried flower arrangements. She enjoyed reading and quickly finished a good book. She baked the best apple and pumpkin pies and cookies. She was the heart of our family who passed on her joy of living naturally to those she loved.

Maybe I was 9. Mom was on the couch. She said she was bleeding and the ambulance was coming. They put her on the gurney and befor they wheeled her out she said to me "I've had a good life".
