ATTANASIO, MARY LOU (nee MONGELLUZZO) - of Margate, passed away on June 23, 2011 after a courageous battle with cancer. She was a member of The Sons of Italy, Alter and Rosary Society, and The Mermaids of the JCC. Mary Lou was a stay at home mother, who enjoyed caring for her family and the details that made a house a home. She had a zest for life and shared that with her good friends and anyone who she met. Loving wife of Ed Attanasio. Devoted mother of Angel (Kevin) Packard and Luisa (Daniel)Robbins and daughter of the late Honorable Lewis and Rose Mongelluzzo. Relatives and friends are invited to her Viewing Wed. 10 - 10:45 am at the Church of the Blessed Sacrament Jerome and Ventnor Ave. Margate N.J. Funeral Mass 11 am Interment SS Peter & Paul Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers contributions in Mary Lou's name to the Lupus Foundation of America Inc. 2000 ‘L' St., NW Suite 710 Washington, DC 20036. My dad grew up a few doors from Mary Lou on Wheeler street. Her father helped him quite a bit. Very sorry for your loss.

I will miss Mary Lou, so positive with a zest for life! Despite her health problems she was planning to have a celebration party for her upcoming birthday....that was Mary Lou always looking forward to something fun and positive! MaryLou was very kind . She was one of the first people I met at my first Sons of Italy meeting and she immediately made me feel welcomed and
