Mary was one of the most elegant, kind, compassionate and graceful women it has ever been my pleasure to know. She was the wonderful reason that I have had the fortune to be blessed with my stepmother (mom) Monica Victorio, and my sister Monica. Thank You Mary.

My most sincere condolences to her husband and children.

My thoughts and prayers go out to the Basurto Family with the passing of Mary. She and Tony were my godparents. As a child, I always remember warm smiles and hugs after running up the white steps of their porch. I received the same warm smiles and hugs when I last saw them at my grandmother's (Louise Meraz) birthday party a few years ago.

My prayer for her family is that in the midst of your grief you find comfort that this separation is only temporary and a joyous reunion in Christ is down the road.

To the Basurto Family, What a wonder blessing your Mother was, and still is,to my life. She is part of my favoriate childhood memories. I still remember the advice she have me when I was about to deliver my first child. I loved being around her, as did many others. I join you all in your sorrow and rejoyce with you in the knowledge she is with our Lord. Thinking of her makes my heart smile. Love, Becky

I enjoyed my visits with Mary,Tony, and my grandmother Vera. They talked about their childhood in Lincoln, their families, and the good food Mary was always cooking. They shared many wonderful memories during these visits and I am glad that they were given this time together. My deepest sympathy goes to Tony and his family. May God and your memories sustain you during this time.

I appreciate everything that my sister, Mary, has done for me in my life and I will miss her greatly. I have many fond memories of our childhood together and although we did not have much materially,as children,we were happy. I am deeply saddened by her passing, but know she is resting with God. My heart and prayers go out to my brother-in-law, Tony, and his family. With sincerest regrets and sympathy, Elvera (Manas) Hayes.

It is with a heavy heart that I send my condolence to all of the Basurto family. I thank God for having Mary be such a significant part of in my life. It was her loving spirit that so impressed me in my youth that moved me to request that she be my godmother at my Conformation. Mary has always and will forever hold a most special place in my heart.

May the peace of Christ be with the entire Basurto Family always and in every way.

Sincerely,

Richard and Annette (Meraz)Mitchem
