Aberdeen - Mass of Christian Burial for Mary Ann Blando, 82, of Aberdeen will be 10 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 12, 2006, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 409 Second Ave. N.E., with Father Gregory Tschakert officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens, Aberdeen, S.D. Liturgical wake service, followed by a Catholic Daughters of the Americas Rosary, will begin 5 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 11, 2006, at Schriver's Memorial Mortuary and Crematory, 414 Fifth Ave. N.W. Visitation will be 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the mortuary and for one hour prior to the funeral mass on Thursday at the church. Mary Ann Kramer was born Feb. 27, 1924, to Ludwig and Marcella (Dosch) Kramer at Mina, S.D. She grew up on the family farm near Mina. In 1938, she moved to Aberdeen and attended Aberdeen Central High. After graduation, she worked at Equity Creamery from 1941 to 1946. She married George J. Blando on Aug. 28, 1946, in Aberdeen. They moved to Vermillion, S.D., in 1946, where Mary worked at the National Bank of South Dakota. They moved back to Aberdeen in 1954. Mary was employed with South Dakota Wheat Growers until retiring in 1984. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, nine brothers and two sisters. Mary is survived by two sons: Mark (Dana) Blando of Tulsa, Okla., and Gary Blando of Marysville, Wash.; one brother, Ludwig (Mary) Kramer of Aberdeen; one stepgranddaughter; and two stepgreat-granddaughters. Pallbearers will be Jerry Ochs, Kerry Swingler, Monte Forsting, Morris Forsting and Joe Kramer. Honorary pallbearer will be Jim Kramer.
