Mary Louise Wicker Cowen, 93, of Mesa, Airz., formerly of Duluth, died Wednesday, September 3, 2003, in Mesa. Ariz. Mary Louise was born September 9, 1909, in Duluth to Peter E. and Mabel M. (Confer) Meagher. She was a graduate of Stanbrook Hall and a member of St. Michael's Church and the Cathedral of Our lady of the Rosary. In the late 40's, Mary Louise moved to Minneapolis, and worked for many years at the St. Louis Park Medical Center retiring in 1974. After retirement she moved to Mesa, Ariz. Mary Louise is preceded in death by her husbands, John Wicker and William Cowan; brothers, Robert F. and Maurice M. Meagher. She is survived by her son, John Peter (Elaina) Wicker of Guam; brother Peter E. (Lois) Meagher of Traverse City, Mich.; and one granddaughter. VISITATION:9 a.m. until the 10 a.m. Saturday (today) services at the Doughterty Funeral Home. Burial will be at the Calvary Cemetery. Arrangements by the Dougherty Funeral Home 600 E. 2nd Street.
