Laney was a very special lady, she was like a Mom to a lot of People. I had the honor of meeting Laney when My Mom; Mary Jo started working at the Blue Ox. Laney was a huge influence on a lot of People, including me. I learned so much by sitting back and watching her, and how no matter what was going on....she had a smile on her face...and she was always there with a hug!! I want to say thank you God for Laney...she treated us all as Family. We will all miss Laney very much!! Love, Andrea Goldie

I would liked to send my condolences to the Family of Laney. I worked at the Blue Ox in Mpls, as a Waitress, we worked together. I was very impressed with her attitude, and disposition. I told her I wanted to be just like her when I grew up, I was 24 at the time! I will miss her, for she was a beautiful Lady!! Mary Jo Goldie

My sincerest condolances to the family of Laney Dwello. I have very fond memories of her growing up. Laney worked for my Dad, David Aronsohn and she was a part of our family. I first remember Laney as a young child when she worked at Dave's Bar on 4th & Franklin. She embodied the spirit of "having a sunny disposition." What a wonderful person and I never forgot her. I saw her again when I came to work as a teenager in the kitchen of the Blue Ox Nite Club downtown Minneapolis. There she was smiles and laughs. I was so excited to see her and she made coming to work a joy. The cooks and I teased her by calling her the "Winona Flash" because she told a story about how she made it down and back to Winona, MN in such a short period of time. We loved it and we loved her. Even when she got angry, she didn't stay angry long and we would have her smiling and laughing in no time. I will never forget her.
