Mary Flatt, 87 passed away peacefully on March 22, 2016. She was born March 19, 1929 to James and Helen Love in Des Moines, IA
Mary was a home maker the majority of her life working briefly outside the home giving her great joy and independence.
Mary is survived by daughters Carly Fisher of West Des Moines and Joleen Flatt of Urbandale.
She was preceded in death by her husband Jerry Flatt and parents James and Helen Love
No services are planned per Mary's request. A celebration of life will take place at a later time.
The family wishes to thank the following providers involved in Mary's care and express how grateful we are to them. You are truly angels on this earth.
Dr. John Heffernan for treating Mary the last 20 years with great compassion
Dr. Dan Buroker for his expertise and kindness
Taylor House Hospice for giving Mary a peaceful place as she made her journey home
Special thanks to Ellie and Mike from Mary's apartment complex for being great friends. She appreciated you looking in on her and she loved you both.
