Mary P. Fleck

Mary Patricia (McGarrity) Fleck, 72, of Upton, died peacefully at her residence Wednesday, Oct. 3, 2012. Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., Pat was the daughter of the late James and Mary (Quinn) McGarrity. She was a secretary in charge of purchasing for Northern Dutchess Hospital in Rhinebeck, N.Y., for more than 20 years. She moved from New York to Massachusetts in 1997 to help raise her daughters triplets and was a resident of Milhaus Apartments for nine years. If asked what her finest legacy was to the world, she would have one answer: family. She leaves her daughter, Deirdre O'Connell and her husband, Stephen, of Upton; a son, Andrew Fleck and his wife, Kalyn, of Castleton, N.Y.; a brother, James McGarrity and his wife, Carol; and five grandchildren, Aoife, Emily, and Eoin O'Connell and Andrew and Mia Fleck. A funeral Mass will be celebrated Tuesday, Oct. 9, at 10 a.m. at St. Gabriel the Archangel Church, 151 Mendon St., Upton. Calling hours are Monday, Oct. 8, from 5 to 7 p.m., at the Williams-Pedersen Funeral Home, 45 Main St., Upton. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Heart Association, P.O.
