MARY CLAIRE (MARE-BEAR)
Age 10, of Franklin Park, on December 2, 2017. Beloved daughter of Jaime (Scott Jones) Nehnevajsa-Friedl; and her loving father, Ryan Friedl; granddaughter of David "Pap Pap" and Pamela "Gaga" Nehnevajsa, Jeffrey "Pap Pap" and Barbara "Mimi" Friedl; niece of Adam (Melanie) Nehnevajsa, Amber (Nick) Nehnevajsa-Raine, Lindsay (Brent) Bissell and Eric Friedl; great-niece of Edward Chrnart; special cousin of Liam, Keagan, Cullen, and Lochlyn Raine and Aubrey Nehnevajsa. Family will receive friends on Saturday 2-8 p.m. and Sunday 2-8 p.m. at SCHELLHAAS FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, INC., 1600 Stone Mansion Drive, Sewickley, PA 15143 (Franklin Park/Wexford). Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, December 11, 2017, at 10:30 a.m. at St. John Neumann Church, 2230 Rochester Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15237. The unicorn girl with a heart of gold gave the ultimate gift by being an organ donor. She loved horseback riding, unicorns, her 30-plus elves, butterflies, and most of all loved her family. She played piano, violin and was selected to the special chorus of the Singing Tigers. Mary also loved the beach. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations of TY Beanie Boo's to 'The "MARY" Christmas Project' to help collect a toy for each child at Children's Hospital. Donation boxes can be found at all North Allegheny Elementary Schools, The Dailey Method in Wexford, or at any Schellhaas Funeral Home location. Please offer condolences at www.schellhaasfh.com.

Ive never met you or your precious Mary, but I want you to know that your story touched me two years ago, and I will continue to hold you and Mary and your entire family in my thoughts and prayers. Im sure not much probably eases your heartache, but maybe knowing that even people who dont know you wish they could take away the pain of your loss. I just found out today about Mary's passing. I am very saddened to hear of the news. You have my deepest sympathy. I was her bus driver when she was at McKnight Elementary. She always got on the bus with the biggest smile on her face. It always brightened my day. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

My little girl is one of the children who received a stuffed animal this was the 2 day in a row we have had been at children's hospital we she saw the little toy she smiled I read the unicorn and it said in memory of Mary Claire I'm so sorry for your lost I pray that the Lord comfort you during this time of grief

I just spoke today with my friend Jeff Friedl and learned of the passing of his only grandchild, Mary.
My heart goes out to you and your family but I heard in your voice the strength that you now have and I know that you have gained that from the strength that Mary showed to you.

I don't know your family, but read with sadness the passing of
your little girl. My heart broke for all of you. Then I came across the
obituary of another 10 year old, Trent, who also passed away this week. I can only believe they went to Heaven together holding each other's hand and are now playing, dancing, and keeping each other happy. Sending Mary Claire's family my deepest sympathy.
