Condolences and prayers for the Gallagher family, true legends in Brooklyn history. Being in the funeral business hearing the name of Jack Gallagher Funeral Directors from Flatbush was to me like the sun coming up in the east and setting in the west, respected and counted on. After the death of Mary Kay´s husband Jack, Mary Kay continued to pass on the family´s name in a different way. Setting her goals and to carry the torch for for the care of the residents of Brooklyn. My family will continue to respect Mary Kay and Jacks contribution to the City of New York, especially our beloved Brooklyn.

Mary sold us our home. We still live in that house. She was a wonderful strong woman. I met her in the neighborhood. She was always friendly and remember me. She asked about my son. She was very dear. She will be missed. My deepest condolence to the family.

Mary Kay found us our first home on East 17th St. in Midwood Park. Her commitment to Flatbush helped us build a strong community of people who continue to be, 40 years later, life long friends. We will be forever grateful to her.

Mary Kay was the pioneer who led the revival of Olde Flatbush and was the go to real estate broker who shepherded the changing market for its homes to become what it is today. Her grace and charm, easy going manner, and guiding hand to "make a deal" was her trademark, and we all loved her for it.
