Bill and family, you have our prayers and loving support. Somehow, we just learned of Mary's passing and regret not being there with you and your family. As you know, you and Mary were among our favorite Christian mentors who were always a blessing and a delight. We love you all. Perry and Teresa Duncan Knoxville, TN

Mother Mary,
I know that you are in a better place now, with no more pain and your back to your old self again. For this promise was made to us by God. For this I am overjoyed for you. You have gone home to be with our Lord and Savior and prepare a home for the rest of us, just like you did down here. I will always remember how, no matter what was going on, you always made where ever we were feel like home. I remember watching you cook, and you being patient enough to let me help. I miss the talks we used to have while puttering around the house doing things. I can remember Thanksgiving and Christmas mornings filled with the smells of your food and the feeling of God being with us. Your example of how to be a caring Christian is something that I took to heart and strive to be everyday. Know that I Love and Miss you very much Mother Mary. I will see you again someday and for that I Thank God!

Dear Bill and family.
My husband and I regret to learn of Mary Robert's passing. It is with much pleasure that I rmember the early years of life together in East Ennessee. In many ways, she was like a second sister to me.
Although we had not communicated for many years, time did not reduce the fond memories of those early years together.
May God Bless!

Dear Bill and Family,
The Loudon Davises and the Hankins family have wonderful, fond memories of the Horners and Mary was at the top of that list. We know she will be terribly missed but her sweet spirit will remain with you forever.
Please know we will keep you in your hearts and prayers during the coming months. May God comfort you in your time of grief.

Dear Horner family,
I was so sorry to read of your loss this morning. I remember your family from your days at the Dunlap UMC. I was closest in age to Jackie. I have one strong memory of Mary being sick in the hospital and Jackie spending the night. I remember we were out in our front yard ( just down the street a little from the parsonage) listening to Hermans Hermits on the radio. I also remember Cindy playing the organ at church and, most importantly, Brother
Horner baptizing me. Please know that you will be in my thoughts and prayers.
