Our sincerest sympathy. It is not easy to say good-bye to a great lady.
Our worshipping community at St. Volodymyr is still grief-stricken with her passing. Stella and I will miss her brave countenance and ever smiling face. Sorry we were out of province for the week-end and could not be there to pray with you and support you. John and Stella Lewchuk

Dear Modest, Johanna, Alicia, Justin, Katherine and extended family. I am so sorry to hear that Mary Anne passed away. I just recently returned from California attending my brother-in-law's funeral. Dear Modest and Family,
Just reading all of the wonderful messages about Mary Anne leaves one feeling very humbled to have called her friend. She truly lived her life in joy, and her life challenges all of us who are left without her, to live our lives in her spirit. Her faith, love, passions, and care will be treasures we can all keep with us. We are better people for having known her and she will be forever missed. Live in love with her Eternal Memory.

Dear Alicia, Graeme and Girls- we are so very sad to learn of the loss of Mary Ann. What a wonderful woman she was! In almost every picture you have sent us over the years there was your Mom smiling and enjoying her grand girls!
We have made a donation to the Children's Choir in her name.
All our love-

I was a fortunate enough to have Mary Anne as my grade 4 and 5 teacher at King George School. I will always remember her wonderful smile that brightened any room, music class, and the bat that once flew into her always perfect hair. May the warmth of love surround you. God Bless.

Dear Modest and family - What a beautiful, loving, and courageous woman graced your family and the lives of her friends for these past years. The memories of her graciousness and kindness will continue to enrich the lives of all who knew her.
How fortunate were the children she taught and the staffs with whom she worked.l
I feel so blessed to have walked into her hospital room just shortly before her death. The moments we shared then will always be precious to me - and I was glad that, as a Caring Clown, I could bring a smile to her face.
God's riches blessings and comfort to each and every one of you. You will continue in my thoughts and prayers through the days ahead.

Mary Anne was one of my daughter's teachers for two years at Wildwood School. She added charm, elegance, eloquence and beautiful music to the school among many other things. She was one of those kind of women that "stood out". A beautiful woman with a wonderful, warm smile. I enjoyed working with Mary Anne as a parent helper. This is very sad for your family to lose a wife, mom, grandmother. My deepest condolences to you all.
Bless you on your journey Mary Anne!
Sincerely,
Maryanne Zuzak and daughters Ilaria and Raya

Thinking of Mrs Kowal's family. She taught me in grade 7 at College Park School. The musicals, the choir and other activities she gave memories years later.
May 18, 2012
Mrs. Kowal was the most amazing elementary school music teacher one could ever have. I still remember most of the songs and choral chants she taught us. She accepted nothing less than excellence and as a result inspired us to always do better. Performing with her was amazing. She cared deeply about her work and her students. I was so lucky to have her in my musical life.
My sincerest condolences to everyone and especially Johanna and Alicia who were role-models for me in the Saskatoon Youth Orchestra.
