My deepest condolences to the Leonard Family. I just heard that Mary Ellen passed. I absolutely loved working with Mary Ellen and her great dry sense of humor, but I was even more lucky to have her as my first borns 3´s teacher. She taught both of us many, many things. She´ll always have a place in my heart.

Mary Ellen was a kind, generous, intelligent woman who was a vital asset at Stamford Hospital. Patients, families and staff will always miss her positive personality and giving ways. She was a class act taken too soon from all who loved and respected her.

Dearest Kerry, Ed and boys, My heart goes out to all of you. I’m glad she is w/my mother (Mary Thompson and brother(Patrick). She always took great care of my family when they were in the hospital. She certainly was put on this earth to do Gods work. I enjoyed chatting w/her @ Danny and Isabel’s get togethers. Love to all . Colleen Thompson/Minchik

I am so sorry to see this news about Mary Ellen. We first met when we moved to the Three Lakes area and one of her sons was our paperboy and sometimes she would deliver the paper in the afternoon. She was a wonderful neighbor - loved to talk about her kids and grandkids, which we did not too long ago. Condolences to her family on her passing.

My condolences to Mary Ellen's family and friends. Always a smile and hello whenever I saw her on the 10th floor; she was kind, funny and a wonderful 'face of the unit'. Rest easy, my friend.

I attended high school with Mary Ellen affectionately known as Baker. Although we only saw each other intermittently throughout the years, when we did it felt as if no time had passed. Her humor, kindness and smile were ever present. I am deeply saddened by her passing and send my sincere condolences to her many friends and beloved family.

Mary Ellen and I first met when our kids attended Roxbury Nursery school. Later at the Hockey Rink and then as employees of Stamford Hospital. I'll miss our chats and her smiling face. May God take care of you now, my friend.

Mary Ellen was a close friend to my family for as long as I can remember. Some of my earliest childhood memories were in fact Christmas and pool parties that she would graciously host. She is the kind of person a community is lucky to have. My family is feeling the loss. We share the sadness with her family and community. Wishing Ed, Tim, Craig and Kerry and the rest of the family, comfort and love and support from Oregon.

My deepest condolences to Mary Ellen’s family. Mary Ellen was always a smiling face and I look forward to seeing her when I worked at Stamford hospital. She would always share pictures of her grandkids and family and a smile would come across her face like you’ve never seen before. She loved and admired you all. I am so sorry to hear of this loss. May you find peace during this difficult time.
