Mary Florence Leonard

Mary Florence Leonard, a parishioner of Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church and a humble servant of her community, was called to her eternal rest on February 12, 2024, at the age of 84. Born on October 24, 1939, in Baltimore, Maryland, Mary's life was a testament to the virtues of faith, love, and compassion.

With a heart full of gratitude, Mary lovingly dedicated her existence to nurturing her family and creating a home filled with warmth, love and kindness. Her sweet voice and gentle energy were a comfort to all who had the privilege of crossing her path. Mary's respect for all of God's creation was evident through her tender care for her cherished dogs and cats. To be acquainted with "Mama Mary" was to witness the embodiment of love.

Mary's legacy of love continues through her family, who now mourn her passing while celebrating the blessing she was in their lives. She is survived by her daughter, Kimberly Leonard Fletcher (Scott); son Stephen Thomas Leonard; grandsons, Artt Cardwell and Jason White; granddaughter, Ashley Karish; and six great-grandchildren: Annaleah, Madison, Olivia, Trace, and Brylin. Her spirit is reunited in the Kingdom of Heaven with her beloved husband of 49 years, Clyde Francis Leonard; her daughter, Janice Marie Leonard Cardwell; and her great-grandson, Gavin.

The family will receive friends and loved ones for visitation on Wednesday, February 21, 2024, at 1 p.m., at Northridge Woodhaven Funeral Home, 6755 Highway 51 N., Millington, TN 38053. A graveside service to honor Mary's sacred journey will follow at 2 p.m., where she will be laid to rest with reverence and prayers for her peaceful transition to a place of divine love and light.

Northridge Woodhaven Funeral Home in Millington, TN, is entrusted with the arrangements, and they join with Mary's family in inviting those she touched to come and pay their respects to a soul who was truly a beacon of God's love on earth.
