She was born Jan. 12, 1934, in Renovo, a daughter of the late Luther C. Rimert and Lydia Gentzel. She was married to Harold S. Livermore, who survives.
Mary Lou was a 50-year member of St. John's-Newberry United Methodist Church, Williamsport, where she served on various committees and was a former choir member. One of her ministries was overseeing dinners at the church for bereaved families.
Mary Lou also enjoyed hostessing her family and friends at her home.
Surviving, in addition to her husband of more than 54 years, are two sons and one daughter-in-law, the Rev. Steven M. and Susan Livermore of York and David S. Livermore of Williamsport; one daughter and son-in-law, Linda L. and Michael Springman of Watsontown; one sister, Lorraine R. Bower of Williamsport; her stepsister, Patricia Marden of Jersey Shore; and her granddaughters, Megan and Laura Springman and Emily, Patience and Elizabeth Livermore.
Visitors may call from 7 to 9 tonight at the Knight-Confer Funeral Home, 1914 Memorial Ave., Williamsport. The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. John's-Newberry United Methodist Church, 2101 Newberry St., Williamsport, by the Rev. Kraig L. Faust.
Burial will be in Blooming Grove Cemetery.
The family will provide flowers and suggests contributions be made to St. John's-Newberry United Methodist Church Building Fund, 2101 Newberry St., Williamsport, PA 17701.
