It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother Mary Catherine Lorenzo ( Jacobs) who passed away peacefully on August 15, 2025 in Las Vegas, NV.

She was born on March 15, 1940 in Cockyesville, Md, to Catherine Irene Jacobs (née Leech) and Norman Williams Jacobs (Jake).

Preceding her death were her parents, Catherine Irene Jacobs and Norman Williams Jacobs (Jake).

Her sons, Steve Pugh, Michael Pugh and granddaughter Julia Pugh. Sisters: Peggy Barshinger and Barbara Jacobs.

Mary is survived by her loving children, Stacey Pugh, Catherine Lorenzo, sons Randy Lorenzo (Christina) Teddy Lorenzo (Angie) She also has 5 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren & 1 great, great grandchild.

Mary, is survived by her siblings, Penny LeCates, Norman Charles Jacobs( Robin) Jeannie Wilder and John Jacobs.

Mary was a devoted mother, grandmother and faithful friend...Her family brought her great joy & love! She was so proud of her children & their many accomplishments!

Mary retired from Sparrows Point(Baltimore, Md) in "2003" After 31 arduous years, She shared many anecdotal accounts, her experiences & journey were

etched with obstacles, impediments & sacrifices. Yet, her career enabled her to provide a comfortable living for her family, as she was the sole provider!

Mary was a remarkable woman of (Steel) her courageous & tenacious spirit, left indelible impression! She was fondly remembered & immortalized in a (Book written by Bill Barry) "All we do is talk Steel" Oral Histories Of Sparrows Point.

Mary was avid reader, her favorite author (James Patterson) anything suspenseful or crime related, griped her imagination!

Her love for crabs, seafood (stuffed flounder) never left her palate...Maryland was her heart.(there's no place like home).

Bingo was in a category all its own! She could play bingo hrs on end, it filled her days with delight & much excitements, not without it's occasional wins big & small!

Mary was a devoted pet lover...Her pugs were her everything! There are several who have since crossed the rainbow bridge (Maude, Bruno, Bugsy's &Bella) no doubt, welcomed her home with much love, lots of kisses & eagerly awaiting treats (greenies).

"We will always carry your memory in our hearts " Until we meet again, rest peacefully!
