Mary Lou Ostrowski passed away on December 18, 2021 at the age of 85.
Beloved wife of John for 63 wonderful years.
Loving mother of Melissa (Emil) Krzemien and Douglas (Julie) Ostrowski.
Proud grandmother of Courtney Ostrowski, Tyler Ostrowski, Kyle Krzemien, Sarah Krzemien, Trevor Ostrowski, and Diana Krzemien.
Devoted great grandmother of Zeon Ostrowski.
Dear sister-in-law of Cynthia (Wally) Czarnota and Gregory Ostrowski.
Preceded in death by her cherished sister Margaret Ann Shimmell.
Mary Lou loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. When she wasn’t spending time with her grandkids or taking care of the home, she enjoyed relaxing watching her favorite television shows.
The family is requesting anyone in attendance to please wear a mask to protect yourself and others. Thank you.
In lieu of flowers, family requests memorial donations to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, December 21, 2021 from 4:00PM until 8:00PM at the Taylor Chapel of Howe-Peterson Funeral Home, 9800 Telegraph Rd.
Funeral service begins at 10:30AM on the following day, December 22, 2021 at the funeral home, family will begin receiving guests at 10:00AM. Burial to follow at Our Lady of Hope.

I worked with Mary Lou and her sister, Margaret Ann, at John Hancock for many years. She was a dear friend and always had a positive attitude and loved to laugh!! I will miss her!!!

Mary Lou graduated from Dearborn High School in 1954. She was a member or the high school Glee Club, Homeroom Secretary and played GAA
basketball. She was very faithful about attending the high school class reunions. Mary Lou will be missed.

There are too many great memories with my Aunt Mary Lou to choose just one. I remember her dropping Melissa, Doug, Todd and I off at the movies to see Zorro in the blue Citation. I will cherish all of my memories with her.
