FALL RIVER — Mary (Medeiros) Perry, 94, of Fall River died peacefully after an illness on Saturday, January 26, 2008, in Catholic Memorial Home. She was the wife of the late Manuel C. Perry who died in February 1989.

Born in Dartmouth and raised in New Bedford, a daughter of the late Augustine and Maria (Pereria) Medeiros, she has been a resident of Fall River for the past 58 years.

Mrs. Perry retired from the garment industry where she was employed with numerous manufacturers in both New Bedford and Fall River. An avid reader and gardener, she also enjoyed traveling, following the Red Sox and spending time with her grandchildren. She was a communicant of St. Anthony of Padua Church and a member of its' Women's Guild.

Surviving are three sons, Donald C. Perry of Ashland, MA, Steven C. Perry of Brookline, MA, Gerald C. Perry of Fall River, MA; a sister, Irene Almeida of New Bedford, MA; eight grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was also sister of the late Dimentina and Augustine Medeiros.

Her funeral will be held Tuesday, January 29, 2008, at 10AM from the WARING-SULLIVAN HOME OF MEMORIAL TRIBUTE at CHERRY PLACE, 178 Winter St., Fall River with a funeral Mass at 11AM in St. Anthony of Padua Church, Bedford St., (at 16th St.), Fall River. Visiting hours Monday, 6-8pm. Entombment in Notre Dame Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer's Assn., 225 No. Michigan Ave., Floor 17, Chicago, Ill 60601-7633 (www.ALZ.org) or Catholic Memorial Home, 2446 Highland Ave., Fall River, MA 02720.
