Mary Ann "Mimi" Reynolds

Mary Ann "Mimi" Reynolds ( Moore), 91, of Geismar, Louisiana, was called to her heavenly home on September 15, 2024. Born to the late William Sherman Moore and Mary Welcher Moore on June 3, 1933, in Marion, Louisiana, Mimi was a cherished member of her community and a faithful servant of the Lord.

Mimi's life was marked by her unwavering dedication to the students she served as a school bus driver for the EBR School System. Her gentle spirit and nurturing presence made her a beloved figure to many generations of children.

She found her life partner in Don Reynolds while they were both students at Bastrop High School. Their loving union was blessed with children and a shared journey filled with devotion and mutual support until his passing.

A loyal congregant of the First United Methodist Church of Gonzales, Mimi's commitment to her faith was evident in her involvement in church life and community service. Her compassionate nature extended beyond the church walls, touching all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Mimi's passion for life was reflected in her love of cooking and creating moments of joy with her loved ones. Her kind and selfless character, alongside her deep affection for family and friends, defined her legacy.

She leaves behind a family who adores her, including her son Don Reynolds Jr. (Stephanie), her daughter Pam Reynolds Crutti (Griff), her daughter-in-law Debbie Reynolds Shega (Rob), and her adored grandchildren Christi Trahan, Justin Reynolds, Cassie Mercante, Kelsey Lovelle, Holden Crutti, and Michael Crutti. Great Grandchildren Gracelynn Mercante, Faith Mercante, AJ Reynolds , Abby Kirkland , and Hayley Zaragoza. Many nieces, nephews and cherished friends. Mimi was predeceased by her parents, William Sherman and Mary Welcher Moore ,her beloved husband Donald G. Reynolds, and her son David Reynolds. Sisters, Louise Townsend, Ruth Duncan and Nan Hopkins.

A service to honor her life will be conducted Saturday , September 21, at 10am at the First United Methodist Church of Gonzales, Celebration of life to follow services at the church fellowship hall. Food and refreshments will be served. Rabenhorst Funeral Home overseeing the arrangements.

The family suggests that , donations may be made to Cara's House Animal Shelter in memory of Mary Ann Reynolds. Her nurturing love and the grace with which she lived her life will forever be remembered and cherished by those she leaves behind.
