Dear Cousins-- Mac, Ted, Emily and Sam,
We were out of town during Aunt Mary's illness and service, or we would have been in attendance.
How fortunate we were to be with her at Smith Mt. Lake not that long ago. Mary was such a sweet aunt and I will miss her. It was a pleasure seeing her and the rest of the family every summer in Fayetteville. I have taken her book, Strictly Me, off the shelf and will think of her as I reread it.
Love to you all.

Our deepest sympathies to your family. She was a treasure and we are happy to have had the honor of meeting her and visiting with y'all when you came to Texas. Love to you all.

Oh Emily, Ted, Sam, Mary Mac and all those who are grieving...I am reading right now at the time of the services for your Mother at MacPherson Church. Mrs. Spilman was always one of the nicest adults of my childhood growing up in Fayetteville. Our parents loved each other and we spent much time in each others lives. All the Burkheads send their love and prayers.

May the God of Loving-Kindness comfort the Spilman family and friends at this difficult time. My prayers are with the family. Jeremiah 29:11
