Mary Wagner

Mary Jeanette Wagner, age 87, of Century, Florida went home to her Lord on Monday, February 24, 2025 after a prolonged illness. She was born December 22, 1937 in Georgetown, Fl. Her family moved to Crescent City, Fl where she graduated high school. Jeanette worked as a bookkeeper at T.G. Lee Dairy in West Palm Beach and Deland, Fl until her retirement.

Jeanette was a faithful member in her church congregation. She took pleasure in sewing clothes for her family members and in knitting beautiful items. Jeanette also enjoyed working in her flower gardens and growing African Violets.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, John Alvin Wagner Sr.: her parents James and Ouida Nettles; brothers William Hardy Nettles and John Olan Nettles; and a sister, La Trelle Nettles Hall Smith.

Jeanette is survived by her sons John Alvin Wagner Jr (Renee) of Titusville, Fl and Randall Alan Wagner (Teresa) of Brewton, Al; a sister Aletha Nettles Barnes Shepley of West Palm Beach; three brothers George Maurice Nettles of Palatka, Troy Addison Nettles of Crescent City, Marvell Eugene Nettles of Hollister: grandsons John Alvin Wagner III (Melanie) of Ohio and Timothy Wagner (Tracy) of Alabama; a granddaughter, Rebecca Lynn Wagner Polturak (Nathan) of Lac La Biche, Alberta Canada; two step-grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, six step great grandchildren and four step-great-great grandchildren as well as numerous nieces and nephews and extended family members.
