Maryann Lynn Hannigan of Burton age 66, died Wednesday December 22, 2021 at DMC Detroit Receiving Hospital. Honoring her wishes cremation has taken place. Celebration of her life will be held at a later date.
Maryann was born in Flint Michigan on May 1, 1955 the daughter of the late William and Jean (Griffin) Hritz and had resided in the Burton area most of her life. She was joined in marriage to John Hannigan on January 30, 1977 in Grand Blanc, Michigan. Maryann worked for many years at Skyway Inn and then many years managing and caring for people at group homes. She had a contagious laugh which in turn made everyone laugh. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends and also enjoyed watching her many game shows.
Surviving is husband John, son Jeffery (Heather) Hannigan, stepchildren; John (Stephanie) Hannigan, Robert (Pam)Hannigan, and Kimberly (Jamie) Herrington. She also leaves her loving grandchildren: Shayleigh Hannigan, Meagan (Joe) Davis, Sarah (Scott Ross) Hannigan, and Jared Hannigan. She is also survived by brother David (Carolyn) Hritz, sister Diana Sue Bye, many nieces, cousins and extended family. She is preceded in death by parents, nephew David Hritz, and brother-in-law Weston Bye. Please share your condolences at www.hansenfuneralhome.net
