Matthew William Mandeville, 36, of Los Angeles ,CA passed away unexpectedly on Thursday November 2nd. Matt was born in Hartford, CT on May 22nd,1987. He was the beloved son of Susan and Brian Mandeville. He leaves behind his sister Monica Gore, her husband Kyle and nephew Austin.

Matt was raised in Colchester, CT graduating from Bacon Academy in 2005 where he focused on Music and The Arts. Matt worked summers at Holiday Hill Day Camp in Mansfield, CT teaching youth leadership and outdoor education. He attended Connecticut School of Broadcasting, then moved to Tempe, AZ where he attended the Conservatory of Recording Arts & Sciences ,2008-2009, receiving a Certificate of Audio Engineering & Production. He remained briefly in Tempe where he worked as a Teen Program Associate for The Homerun Boys & Girls Club. From there Matt made his way to Los Angeles working as a Freelance IT/TV/Film/Audio Engineer/SAG Member. He continued his freelance work while joining Apple as a Sales Associate & MAC Technician, remote Apple Advisor during COVID and most recently Genius representative at Apple, certified in in-house hardware and software repair. He was also a mentorship leader for both established and new Apple Apprentice technicians.

Matt was a kind soft soul who enjoyed music, art, biking, the great outdoors and making people laugh. When he moved to LA he found his special family of friends that brought him great joy. His rescue dog Lola became his trusted companion and soulmate.

Matt was taken way too soon and will be greatly missed. A Celebration of Life will be held in Los Angeles followed by a Memorial Celebration of Life in Connecticut. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his memory to NAMI, the National Alliance on Mental Illness. Matt was a great friend when we worked together at the Boys and Girls Club in Phoenix. He had a wonderful way of connecting with the kids in a man authentic way, truly seeing past the kids rough exterior to who they really were. When he moved, we lost touch, but I thought of him often, and sometimes messaged. I thought of him today, and wanted to reach out and say hello, instead finding this. I know he is enjoying the peace he deserved.

Hello Mandeville family, I used to know Matt when I was in college and we grew into friends over listening to punk rock and ska music. Matt was easy to talk to, welcoming, and I enjoyed getting to know him. I´m just learning about his passing and your loss. My heart is broken for you. I just wanted to let you know that he was kind to me, during our strange late teens and early 20´s and that I appreciate the small moments shared during that time. I remember driving in his car with the band Say Anything blasting, both singing loudly. I hope the good memories outweigh heavy thoughts. Sending love to you.

Dear Matt, it was an honor knowing you and calling you a friend and a brother.
