Dear Padden Family: I recently learned of the General's passing and it saddened my heart. I was his Executive Assistant when he was on the Joint Staff as J-31. Even though I wore the "darker" blue suit, I consider it an honor and privilege to have served with him. I wish you all peace and happiness.

Dear Mrs Padden: We ere planning to go to the internment tomorrow. However we have an urgent medical appointment that had to take precedence. I'll try to leave my cell phone number with The cemetery and the chapel so we can be in touch and I can explain all (including misplaced the invitation and rsvp email address. We are with you in spirit.

Janice You know how very much we loved Tim. And of course you as well. You and Freddie were in grade school together and then we-you and I had such a good time at W.H.S And also our good times once again at OSU and then again when we all met up once again in the AF.It truly has been a "long memorable run" and I treasure our times together and our children as well. These are treasures that live in our memory. Love you Janice and the girls and we will miss the our precious and dear Tim. Our Love - Sue and Fred

Dear Polly, Mrs Padden, Sr. Kathleen and all; I am so sorry to learn General Padden's passing. His picture immediately jumped out at me in The Blade as one very similar to the one Polly always carried in her wallet. His warm smile and sincerity gave me a whole different view than what I had thought military generals would be. The Padden's were welcoming to all us pages as they invited us to their home early on and often. I felt very lucky that I got to spend so much time with the Paddens and even got to go along on the ski trip! I was always so impressed with the Red phone in the corner of the living room! And, it was nice to have that Toledo connection with Sr. Kathleen. Polly, I would love to be in touch and am even going to be heading through Alabama next week as I move to Florida. My email is [email protected]. Blessings to and all. With much love.

The Big Cheese was the Base Commander at Scott AFB, IL in 1977/78 when I was there as General Moore's Aide. He helped me on several occasions with support from the base and made my job easier. He was a very charismatic leader. Please accept my, my wife, Mimi's, son, Patrick's and daughter, Michelle's condolences. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

Then Colonel Padden was my wing commander when I was a lieutenant at Altus AFB Oklahoma. He was fair, inspiring, and approachable. I was blessed to have learned from him - a truly wonderful officer. May God continue to bless his family.

Janice and family...Tim was usually in my home rooms and we most often sat near one another, because of our last names..Padden, and Stockert. I always liked Tim and he was nice to me...
My sincerest sympathy to you and all your family...
