Maverick P. Emery Brownfield, 32, of Margate, FL passed away on November 5, 2022 just two days shy of his 33rd birthday. Born in Coral Springs, FL on November 7, 1989 to Jeffrey and Elisa Brownfield. The son of a Marine and Veterinary Technician. Maverick started his life in Tamarac while his father was stationed overseas. After military service he was raised in Coral Springs and had made South Florida his home.
Maverick had a passion for all things that “go,” from gopeds to boats to cars and golf carts. His skill at repair and rebuilding small engines was second to none. His passion became his successful career, Maverick Motors. Raised in a family with Christian values, strong morals, and immense love and support, Maverick became a friend to everyone he met. He enjoyed helping others. If he didn’t have the financial means, Maverick would always find a way to use his skills or large circle of friends to help those in need. Maverick was blessed to become a father and cherished the time he spent with his son- often going fishing and boating together.
Survived by his parents, Jeff and Elisa; son, Ethan; and his cat Pikachu. Maverick's infectious laugh, long curls, and shining smile will never be forgotten.

I’m shocked, to say the least. At least there was one instance where I literally gave him the shirt off my back. Going away this young is unfortunate. My love to the family and all who knew him.

We have many fond memories of Maverick growing up. He shared many meals at our house with our kids and we will always remember hearing Maverick riding his goped in the neighborhood. We recently saw Maverick by his shop and it was as if no time had past. Our thoughts and prayers go out to Jeff and Elisa and the rest of his family. Rest In Peace Maverick.

Mr. & Mrs. Brownfield, I know there are just no words to express the depth of your pain. I have continually been praying for you since I learned of Mavericks passing. He was a good friend of my son (Zack). Such a handsome, easy going, happy kid. I am so sorry for your tragic loss. I am lifting you both & Ethan to Almighty God. Praying for comfort and peace as He begins to repair your shattered hearts in the days, weeks, months and years to come.... Maverick, your last breath on earth was your first breath in Heaven. I liked Maverick the minute I met him. He always had such a calm and accepting demeanor about him. I always loved your (Elisa) stories about you and him in California. I know he was the apple of your eye. My heart hurts for you. I will be continually praying for you and Jeff that as you grieve and mourn this huge loss you know he was such an amazing guy because of you. Love you

Maverick,
You were more than one of a kind.
You were my first real love.
We have shared so many good memories together.
Through all the ups and the downs,
I could never stay mad at you.
God always brought us back to one another in the funniest ways.
Even if that meant, selling you a quad after not talking to one another for almost 5 years.
I’m glad I did.
I am glad you were able to gift your son that quad for his graduation.
I know he will cherish it, just as much as you cherished giving it to him.
It’s clear that was our last goodbye to one another.
Thank you for doing me that favor when I needed you, and I am glad I was able to return one for you.
I am happy to say, I got to see you.
No matter what, you will always have a piece of my heart.
May your beautiful soul rest in eternal peace.
