Maverick Lincoln McCray (Steven Eric Dillion), 49 of Sedalia, passed away Sunday, Dec. 23, 2018 in Sedalia.
Born May 20, 1969 in London; he was a son of Gale and Esther (Anthony) Dillion.
Maverick had been a corrections officer and a farm hand as well as a machinist and belonged to the American Legion, Post #417, Mt. Sterling. Ray Folsom was his mentor on working on anything mechanical like old truck, cars and tractors. He loved being on the farm and hunting and fishing and enjoyed cooking anything from smoked pork loin to cookies.
Tinkering with his uncle Mark was the highlight of his day. He absolutely loved taking aunt Sharon for rides in the old Model A and in parades. He had a love for car shows and antiques.
Survivors include his loving son and light of his life Tanner Lee Dillion; aunts and uncles Mark (Kathy) Anthony, Jim (Sharon) Dillion and Shirley Dillion; many cousins including Johnny Jacobs, David Dillion, Laura Toops and Alicia Anthony, close friends Scott Hart, Bill Potts and Randy Satterfield along with many other friends and guys from the shop.
He was preceded in death by his uncle Lowell Dillion; grandparents Don and Polly Dillion and Ernest and Peg Anthony.
The family received friends at the EBERLE-FISHER FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, 103 N. Main Street, London, Ohio on Saturday, Dec. 29.
