May God get you through this season. I love Joy she was never to busy to talk to you and came to every family gathering that we could get up. You children you had a Gold Piece in your mom. I hope my children will say and mean it what you children did of your mom. We will be praying for you all. Ann Mize Eutaw, Al.

I have always thought Joy was a wonderful example of what a true Christian should be. She lived her faith! There is a saying attributed to Benjamin Franklin after he repented, "I will speak ill of no man and all the good I know of everyone." Joy lived that quote! She always found the good in everyone. Mama loved her too. Many years ago Mama went to a yard sale at the home of one of the "moneyed families" in our town. She bought a pure Irish linen tablecloth. After Mama laundered it she showed it to me. I wanted the beautiful linen tablecloth. Mama said, "I'm giving it to Joy." I said, "But I'm your daughter. You should give it to me." Mama answered, "Joy's my daughter too and I'm giving it to Joy." I couldn't refute that. Joy got the tablecloth! Smile. Smile. I loved Joy dearly. I know she's in Heaven.

When I look at your mom's loving smile I see you. Although I didn't know her I know she leaves a great legacy and that she must have been so proud of her children and grandchildren. I pray that you will be comforted by wonderful memories and that God's grace will sustain you during this time. We love you!
