Max HABERKORN Obituary
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Max Haberkorn on Wednesday, February 22, 2017, peacefully with great strength and courage, and his loving family by his side. Best friend and devoted husband of Susan Frank. Son of the late Eva and the late Samuel Haberkorn. Loving and adored father of Stacey (Adam), Lee (Alex), and Kelly (Jeff). Treasured step-father of Lauren (Jasen) and Andrew (Lori). Cherished Poppy of Paige, Mackenzie, Lyla, Riley, and Ella. Dear brother and brother-in-law of Roselyn and Nissim Levy, Rachel Zirdok, and Morty and Barbara Haberkorn. Max will be sadly missed and always remembered by all his nieces, nephews, family and friends. Special thanks to Drs. Kevin Petrecca and Linda Klein, to his caregivers Demy, Edward and Daisy, and to the exceptional staff of Mount Sinai Hospital 3rd floor for their outstanding care and compassion. Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean-Talon St. W., on Sunday, February 26 at 12:00 noon. Burial at Hebrew Sick Benefit Association Cemetery, de la Savane. Shiva at his home from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. daily. In lieu of gifts or flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the "Max Haberkorn Memorial Fund", c/o the Mount Sinai Hospital Auxiliary, (514) 369-2222 ext. 1334, or to the "Max Haberkorn Memorial Fund for the Dr. Kevin Petrecca Brain Tumor Research Fund", c/o the Montreal Neurological Institute & Hospital, (514) 398-1958.

Max was my first and best friend when we met at age 5 . He helped and stood with me through hard and good times sharing his love, strength , laughter and generous sweet smile ever since. I will miss him until we meet again. All my love to you Susan and to Stacey , Lee , Kelly, Lauren and Andrew -
