Max J. Young, born on November 23, 1944, passed away peacefully on October 17, 2024, in Sacramento, California.

Max is survived by his beloved wife, Debra; his sons, William and Joseph; his daughters, Jenna and Janelle; and seven cherished grandchildren.

Max spent his early years in various towns across Northern California before dedicating over 30 years to teaching at Antioch High School in Antioch, California. His passion for education left a lasting impact on countless students and colleagues throughout his career.

Beyond the classroom, Max was an adventurer at heart. He found joy in flying his plane and fulfilled a lifelong dream of sailing his boat around the world-a testament to his adventurous spirit and love for exploration.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to the Alzheimer's Aid Society at 2641 Cottage Way, Suite 4, Sacramento, CA 95825.

Max will be deeply missed by all who knew him. May his memory bring comfort and inspiration to those he leaves behind.
