Maxwell Schneider Obituary
Formerly of Jersey City, NJ passed away at the age of 90 on Sunday, November 16, 2008 in Pittsburgh, PA where he resided with his wife Gloria M. Schneider. Born and raised in Jersey City, NJ, Maxwell Schneider attended Dickenson High School, St. Peters College and completed his pharmacy degree at Rutgers University in Newark in 1941. He owned and operated Sinder's Drug Store at 344 M.L. King Blvd. in Jersey City from 1946 to 1992. A veteran of WWII, Maxwell Schneider was a long time supporter of the Jewish War Veteran's Association, and an associate of Hadassah. He is survived by his beloved wife of 58 years, Gloria Meltzer Schneider, his beloved sons, Dr. Jeffrey (Jane Denton) Schneider of San Rafael, CA, Dr. Michael (Suzanne Devine) Schneider of Oxnard, CA, and Gilbert (Stefi Kirschner) Schneider of Pgh., PA, his sisters, Gertrude Brauer of Los Angeles, CA and Dorothy Levine of NJ and his six grandchildren, Josh, Sam, Ben, Rachel, Jonathan and Ethan. Services and Interment will be held on Monday in Fair Lawn, New Jersey. Contributions may be made to Hadassah-Greater Pittsburgh Chapter, 1824 Murray Avenue, Pgh., PA 15217. Arrangements by RALPH SCHUGAR CHAPEL, INC.

We are very sorry about the lost. We waited on Mr. Schneider durning breakfast, lunch, and dinner at the covenant and he would always talk about his children and how proud he was of them. I am truely sorry.
