Rich, Jane, Karen & Lori, My heart is still in shock and full of sorrow for the loss your beloved Melanie. May the happy memories of Melanie help to lessen the pain of your loss. I still have a picture (in my mind and always will) of Melanie and the black olives on her fingertips coming to us and saying "Look!". Words cannot express how I much my heart goes out to all of you. I hope that the love of friends and family carry you through your pain and sorrow to happy memories and good times that you all share. May God Bless You All. Please know that you are in my thoughts and prayers and that Melanie will always be remembered in a special way. My deepest sympathy to all of you. Love, Molly

I was fortunate to meet Melanie when she began dating my brother David. I fell in love with her instantly, as I know he did as well. Over time, I was able to learn more and more about Melanie and who sho was. She changes every person she comes in contact with. I was amazed at the changes in my brother...I loved to watch him look at her. I realize that she is not here in body, however, I know she is with all of her friends and loved ones all of the time. I feel her joy and laughter often. Her smile brightened up a room. Even on her most painful days, she always had a way of making you feel better about yourself. It was never about her. I am thankful for this opportunity to express my deep respect and admiration for Melanie. She lives forever in our hearts through the wonderful memories we will always have.

I have been thinking quite a bit about Melanie this week. I am not sure why, but I know the thoughts keep coming into my mind with great strength.

I just want the Cronin family to know that I, as well as many others, are thinkging of them as they pass through their first round of holidays without Melanie.

I want to give thanks for Melanie and how, obviously she touched my life; for the brief time that she was in my life.

To the Cronin Family and the Foye Family,

I was so upset to have recently learned about Mel's passing. I will never forget the effortless manner in which Mel always made me feel like "one of the cousins"....She will truly be missed.

Love always,

Karen, Michael and Jake

I dared Melanie to wear this "awful" outfit to my sister's "80's" party and she did! Mel had guts like no one else! She showed up in her old Prom dress and made everyone laugh. This is a great photo of her just being Mel & having a good time!!

Aunt Jane, Uncle Richard, Karen, Lori:

We are all so lucky to have each other. Our strong family bond will give us the strength & energy to heal.

"God looked around his Garden and found an empty place.

He then looked down upon his earth and saw your loving face".

"He put his arms around you and lifted you to rest.

His Garden must be beautiful, he always takes the best.

He knew that you were suffering, he knew you were in pain.

And knew that you would never get well on earth again.

He saw your path was difficult, he closed your tired eyes,

He whispered to you "Peace be Thine" and gave you wings to fly.

When we saw you sleeping so calm and free of pain,

We would not wish you back to earth to suffer once again.

You've left us precious memories, your love will be our guide,

You live on through our family, you're always by our side.

It broke our hearts to lose you, but you did not go alone.

For part of us went with you on the day God called you home".

Melanie, my best friend and cousin...you are with me always.

I love you-

Dear Uncle Rich, Aunt Jane, Karen & Kids, Lori, and David --

We have a picture of Mel from the Jimmy Buffett concert on our refrigerator and the sun will always shine when we think of her. We will cherish our family memories and her spirit will live on in all of us.

All our love & support,

For those of you who dont already know the "Ticket Trauma" tales...EVERY year at Buffett Mel would lose her ticket prior to the show! But not this particular year, we finally got smart & taped it to her stomach with duct tape!!

Dear Dick, Jane, Karen and Lori,

My son, Keith, called to tell me the news of Melanie's passing. I was so very sorry to hear about her life-threatening and then life-taking health condition. How very, very sad.

Melanie remains in my memory as that wonderful, happy sprite of a girl in our George Street neighborhood. From other guest book entries, it sounds like she grew to be a wonderful, much-adored, courageous and happy sprite of a woman. You have been blessed to have her as one of your own.

God bless you and may you receive His comfort and strength now and into eternity,

Dear Mr. & Mrs. Cronin & Family:

I was deeply saddened to hear of Melanie's passing. She was such a beautiful, loving person and we enjoyed seeing her in the office. Melanie was one of those patients who touched the hearts of all who knew her. I would often think of Melanie and your family and commend you on your courageous strength that you had and even when you had difficult times you & Melanie were always such a pleasure to deal with.

I do apologize for not being able to attend Melanie's calling hours nor her funeral due to me being out of the state but my heart and prayers are with you and your family.

May you always remember that Melanie and you both touched so many hearts at our office.

Dear everyone at Cronin's Crossing,

Although I was only part of your "family" for a short while, I knew Mel to be one of the most sincere, lovely human beings I'd ever met. My only prayer is that she is met with the same kindness she had when she walks through the gates of heaven.

My thoughts and prayers are with all of you.

Dear Aunt Jane --

I am so sorry to hear about Melanie and cannot imagine your pain of losing your beautiful daughter. I wish I had been given the privilege to grow up knowing both you and her better, and regret now not having ever made it to one of those famous Allaire reunions so that I could have had the honor of sharing time with someone so obviously special as Melanie. I've often wondered where my daughter Emily's passion for horses came from, and now I think I know.

My heart and prayers go out to you and your family.

Love,

Mel was one of the most beautiful people I have ever met....full of life, love and happiness.
