I was out of the country. When I returned, I was so saddened by the news that Mellie had past. She was a good friend, who taught me very early, to be greatful. I spoke with her recently and know that her struggle is now ended.I will miss my friend of 30 years. My heart goes out to you all.

MELINDA WAS AN INSPIRATION TO THE CLIENTS AT ADHC, SHE COULD RELATE TO THEM AS A FELLOW STROKE VICTIM AND ENCOURAGE THEM TO DO THEIR BEST. WE ALL MISS HER WIT AND CREATIVE WRITINGS.

Melinda was a great friend who taught me a lot,I loved her wit, her writing and wish I had more time with her.I can only imagine how much fun we would have had if she had a chance to live in Arcata (next to music and coffee shops)She was and still is an inspiration to me

My condolences to Melinda's family. I was lucky to have known her when we worked together at ADHC years ago. She was a kind and loving person who enriched the lives of many. She will be greatly missed.

I want to take this time to thank all of Melinda's friends for helping her and supporting her through her trials and tribulations. Her life was very challenging and I'm happy that she found a community that she could thrive in.
I wish I could have met you all so I could thank you personally.
My sister was a rare individual and although we will miss her greatly, we know that she will live on in our hearts,
Blessings to you all,

My heart goes out to everyone who knew Melinda ~ who knew of her strength, struggles, of her kindness and her ardent determination to live well despite her strokes. No easy task. I will miss her and send LOVE to her family and friends.
